Position Summary:

The Cx Field Technician will work as a field observer on project construction sites to verify that building systems are installed in accordance with the contract documents and are functioning properly, in accordance with the project basis of design.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document project progress.
• Execute commissioning plan
• Record and report test results
• Identify and assist in resolving building deficiencies
• Work closely with A/E and construction team

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a combination of relevant education and hands-on experience in building mechanical system start up, mechanical system test and balance, or DDC control system installation and operation.

Minimum Requirements Are:

• 2-year engineering technology degree; or, completion from 2-year HVAC service technician program
• 4 years of relevant field experience working with mechanical systems or HVAC controls
• Experience using field testing equipment and operating building control systems
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Prepare reports; create, organize and maintain building test records
• Knowledge of mechanical system design, energy efficiency and building codes is a plus
